This Canadian-based company looks to push the envelope with what is possible within the electric motorcycling space and deliver a revolutionary package to the people, helping to change mindsets and show people that electric motorcycles aren’t that bad after all.

The Hypersport is ideal for both sporty and commuter riders due to its Shift™ technology, which allows riders to change the ergonomics of their motorcycle while on the move, providing a more comfortable upright riding position, or a more sporty position depending on rider preference. 

It comes brimming with technology, including its CoPilot™ AI system which gives riders hazard warnings and can predict the actions of other road users. This motorcycle rewinds time and brings the future back to 2023 for us to enjoy now, this includes top-of-the-line charging options.

As we know, charging is often a problem for riders, with batteries often taking hours upon hours to reach full capacity. With the Hypersport, however, it is a breeze thanks to its level 1, level 2, and Rapid CCS chargers, the latter CCS being a fast charger, allowing riders to get back on the road quicker than ever.

If like many, you’ve fallen in love with this motorcycle and what it offers, you may not be as in love with the price tag. A steep £30,000 is a tough ask for any rider looking to get into the electric market, but if you’ve got the cash, why not?

Energica Experia

Energica is one of the most well-known brands in the industry thanks to their involvement with the MotoE World Cup between 2019 and 2022 as the sole supplier, these three years of competition have given them the data they need to transform their street range and improve the ranges on their consumer based motorcycles for the better.

Starting with the Energica Experia which is Europe’s first “Electric Green Tourer”, specifically designed for those that want to ride for long distances with a brand new motor and increased battery size. 

This adventure-style motorcycle was designed for commuting and long-distance travel, with a maximum storage capacity of 112 litres in its panniers and top case, as well as two USB ports on the dash and two more in a waterproof compartment, making it ideal for those who want to hook up a sat nav on their dash and charge their phone in a waterproof area.

Additionally, the Energica Experia has the largest battery capacity of any electric motorcycle, clocking in at a maximum of 22.5 kWh with claims of a range of 261 miles (420 km) of inner-city riding and a combined range of 160 miles on one charge.

This battery power is combined with a peak 75 kW/102 HP engine that can deliver a maximum speed of 112 mph due to restrictions, but won’t have any trouble hitting 60 mph, taking just 3.5 seconds!

Unfortunately, the downside to this motorcycle, and many other electric motorcycles, is the price of £25,990 brand new from Energica.

Energica Eva Ribelle

The final motorcycle on this list also comes from Energica which seems to be running the show at the moment. The Eva Ribelle is a motorcycle paying homage to Energica’s Italian roots with styling similar to BMW, Ducati, and Triumph’s naked models.

This motorcycle is the naked version of their EGO+ machine and is categorised as a “hyper-naked” motorcycle, with Energica claiming it is the only electric motorcycle in this category. 

It has the same torque, power, acceleration, and range as their EGO+ model, but comes with a much preferred upright riding position for those riders that don’t want to destroy their lower back on longer trips, plus a top speed limit.

It also has mounting points for panniers, allowing riders to take more items with them on longer journeys; a windshield; and a tank bag, making it more accessible for long-distance riders than its sporty counterpart.

Its engine is similar to that of the previous Experia, with 261 miles of inner-city range, but unlike the Experia, it has more power, kicking out 222 Nm of torque and 126 kW/169 horsepower from its engine.

The motorcycle is capable of hitting 60 mph in less than three seconds with the upgraded RS model going from 0-60 in just 2.6 seconds! 

Once again, this motorcycle comes with a hefty price tag of £23,800 which could be a deterrent for many.
